About archery in California

California has the most archers of any state, and it shows in the calendar. The State Archers of California (SAC) is the official USA Archery state chapter and feeds the Olympic recurve and compound target pipeline that has produced generations of national team members. CBH/SAA (California Bowmen Hunters and State Archery Association) is the NFAA state affiliate and sanctions the state field, hunter, and 3D championships. Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, and Sacramento hold the densest target club scenes. Head into the Sierras, the Mojave, or up the Pacific coast and you find 3D and field courses cut into terrain that defines the discipline. Mild coastal weather lets most of the state shoot outdoor target year-round. Use the city list below to find the right club for your discipline and location.
